Beijing’s Unique Outdoor Scene

• Beijing Olympic Forest Park - A large, man-made nature park situated at the north end of the Olympic Green in Beijing. Built for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The park features many walking paths and a jogging path. Several small islands in the lake are linked by bridges. The south-east end of the lake has a handful of carnival rides for children.

• Yuyuantan Park - One of major urban parks in the city of Beijing, covering a territory of about 137 hectares, 61 %of which are covered by water. A well-known place to hold sakura festival in Beijing.

• Chaoyang Park - Located on the site of the former Prince's Palace in Beijing's Chaoyang District. It features flower gardens, fairground with rides, including landscaped areas and several large swimming pools.

• Beihai Park - A public park and former imperial garden. First built in the 11th century, it is among the largest of all Chinese gardens and contains numerous historically important structures, palaces, and temples.

• Fragrant Hills Park - An imperial garden at the foot of the Western Mountains in the Haidian District. It consists of a natural pine-cypress forest, hills with maple trees, smoke trees and persimmon trees, as well as landscaped areas with traditional architecture and cultural relics.
