Day Tours in Beijing

Full-Day City Sights Tour

This tour covers all the main sights of the city, starting with the ancient Forbidden City, once the highly restricted residence of the Emperors, which is now open for the world to admire.  After this, you will have only to step outside and cross the famous Chang An Avenue to find yourself in Tianamen Square.  We will then take you to the other main landmark of Beijing, the magnificent Temple of Heaven.  Finally, you will enter the highly revered Lama Temple, which, in addition to being home to Buddhist monks, houses standing Buddha statue, carved out of a single sandalwood tree

Great Wall Tours
A visit to Beijing would not be complete without visiting China’s famous and colossal construction.  The hotel provides private tours to the three distinctive sections of the Wall.

Badaling Section, Ming Tombs
The section of the Wall, which lies approximately 50 miles northwest of Beijing city, is the Badaling Section.  This portion of the wall was built during the Ming Dynasty and has undergone heavy restoration.  It was the first section of the Wall to open to tourists.  Not far from this area is the Ming Tombs, the mausoleums of 13 Emperors of the Ming Dynasty.  The mausoleums have been preserved, as has the necropolis of each of the many Emperors.  Because of its long history and great architecture, the site has a high cultural and historic value.

Simatai Section
This part of the Wall is two hours’ drive northeast of Beijing and is one of the few stretches of the Wall that still preserve the original construction, featured in all its weathered splendour.  Due to its untouched state, walking this part of the Wall can sometimes turn into a physical challenge, but the spectacular panoramic views truly make all the efforts worthwhile.

Mutianyu Section
The Mutianyu Section of the Wall is famous for the breathtaking beautiful scenery.  Woods cover more than 96 per cent of the total scenic area.  This section best displays the different splendours of the four seasons.  It also features a convenient first-rate cable car to reach the Wall at the top of the mountains.  At one of the ends of the Wall, a sled slope will give you the opportunity to experience thrills by taking you swooping down from the high mountains.

All these private tours are arranged by the hotel, with a choice of transportation. We can also help you to arrange a tour that provides a different variety of sights (including the Summer Palace) that meet your desires, as well as your schedule.
